Hello from Suwon, South Korea!

I'm finally getting around to updating my blog. Right now I'm blogging from Kyung Hee University at Suwon (the Global campus). We had our opening ceremony yesterday, but the two days before the ceremony I went to Seoul. The bus ride is 1.5 hours to Seoul then 1.5 hours back to Suwon. How many miles? 40 back and forth. Ah well, at least there's time for a nap.

August 2nd, I arrived at Incheon International Airport at 4:30 am, yes thats right folks AM. We got to the university at around 7:30. After checking in and all that business, the neighbors, roomie, and I went to Home Plus. Basically the Korean version of a Super Walmart. Now the thing that gets me is that the American names are so expensive. Like Veet costs around 12000 won. Does it cost that much in the US? I honestly don't know for sure. After that we had lunch then went to Seoul. I didn't bring my camera, but thats ok, we went back the day after :)

So the places to see in Seoul.
CHEON GYE CHEON, when it's not raining because it apparently floods. My lovely friend told me that it use to be really dirty, and the area around it use to be not so great. BUT now it's kind of, no its really beautiful.

Starbucks...they really are everywhere! But actually, I think Tom N' Tom's is more popular because I've seen more around.

We also stopped by SEOUL TOWER/ 南山. We actually took a hike/trek up to the Nam San cable car, then from there ride the cable car, then walk some more, and finally end up at near Seoul tower. We didn't go up the tower but its was still a great view. I got a postcard from there, and I've decided I'm going to start collecting postcards whereever I go because they're cheap and remind me of where I've been.

Oh yeah, the picture at the top is kimchee stew from this back alley restaurant :)
I miss home, but I love it here.
乾杯!
Bye bye!
