Eats 2 & Random Thought
A few weeks back, I went to Shim's Tapas in Hongdae (Hong Ik University). It was quite an experience. I had the sangria, which was spiced with cinnamon. It was pretty delicious. Next time I go, I'm ordering a jug of this.
The other one is crab meat wrapped in red bell pepper. It was definite good, but the crab meat was fishy-er than I thought it should be.
There was also a pretty impressive person that I noticed while I was chit chatting with my friend. As we ate and drank merrily, I couldn't help but notice one person walk in by himself and take a seat oh-so-casually at the bar. Maybe he was a regular because the staff was friendly enough, and he didn't seem awkward, like the rest of the people dining at in the restaurant. Dressed in jeans, t-shirt, and coat, he didn't particularly stand out. He had ridden a bike to the restaurant. It was a pretty color, but the color it was doesn't come to my mind at this moment. The next thing he did surprised me the most. He ordered a cup of coffee, which was brought to him, took out his book, and he started reading at the bar. I have never seen anyone do this before. In Korea, usually going to a restaurant or bar around dinner time means drinking beverages that do not include anything without alcohol. Drinking coffee in the evening (already cool because if you can sleep after a cup of black coffee after 7pm, you are a champion of life) in a tapas bar by himself in Korea while reading a novel takes confidence anywhere in the world in my book. This guy was pretty impressive. Too bad I didn't have the gall to talk to him. FAILLL kakaka
