Things I learned today: 답답하다

I finally learned the true meaning of 답답하다. When you want to talk, and the words are coming out but then someone cuts you off. You don't get a chance to think and then talk. 답답하다. When you are in the middle of saying something, and someone cuts you off. 답답하다. When the explanation is clear in your head, and you are about to say it but someone (who is probably waiting for it) cuts you off. 답답하다. Its in your head, and you are articulating it. BUT someone cuts you off again답답하다.답답하다.답답하다.답답하다. The goal for the coming weeks and the rest of life: Don't let anyone make you 답답해 again. Talk when they talk. Cut them off. Because you deserve to be heard as well.

Planners are essential to life. SUPER ESSENTIAL. A little book that tells me what happens when. It is necessary otherwise my life is in shambles.

Being sick sucks. It sucks big time.

In cases like this, nyquil is the best remedy. Not dayquil. That's just crap. Nyquil rules all cold medicines. It puts your generic cold medicines to shame with their sniffly sneezey selves. It is the Chuck Norris of cold medicines that makes your cold medicines cry for their cold medicine mamas! IN YO FACE. On another note, I think nyquil has the tendency to make me delirious.

Moms are stubborn people.
QUESTION: Will I be this stubborn when I become a mom? If that's the case, I will be an awesome stubborn mom. NO doubt!

Sour cream is freaking delicious. At Costco, they have the "artisan" recipe tortilla chips, and they are pretty delicious ( and on sale until dec. 18). I feel the fatty coming out of my bones. I think these chips think they are fancy because they are "artisan"...if only chips could express their thoughts. Like would cheetos like to be called cheetos and be related to a cheetah, or would doritos cooler ranch flavored chips be happy because everyone loves them?

My first quarter of grad school is done! HUZZAH! In yo' face real non-existant job! I am tired.

Things I learned today: 12-8-11 + Men who look at lady parts

So I found out today that once women turn a certain age they should probably get their uterus cleaned...like car detailing, I guess? Even if the outside is clean, it doesn't mean that the inside is (dear men, think about this during your next one night stand). The Doc (who was very handsome) told us that basically the inside of a lady's ladies parts needs to get scrapped out because there can be fibrous build-up. Doesn't that make you crave twizzlers? (ew) If you do this, you can keep everything spik-n-span for quite a few years.

Maybe, I found this interesting because the doctor (gynecologist and surgeon who is probably sick of looking at ladies parts all day) was quite handsome. This is why I don't have a man: because apparently I find men who charge women money to look at their lady parts attractive when men will usually look at lady parts for free.

Things I learned today: Assholes pt.2

This is how I feel: FUCKED. But that's ok.

It is ok to feel terrible about things. Once you come to terms with feeling terrible and realize that you feel terrible, it is much easier to stop feeling terrible and start feeling MAD. MAD Melissa is much more productive and scheming than terrible-feeling Melissa.

I am eating a corn tortilla feeling mad all at the same time. Multi-tasking win.

Things I learned today: assholes

So I could have sworn that I had a post labeled assholes before, but apparently I don't? (please correct me if i am wrong) because I feel like there is so much assholery in the world that I would have posted about this foolish assholery a long time ago. Why is there so much assholery in the world? I am (or try to be) a straight forward person, but other people beat around the bush and just don't get to the point. WHY?!?! Then again, I am not good at taking criticism so I wouldn't mind if people beat around the bush for that a bit, but I would rather in the long run deal with things straight up from the get-go (does anyone say this anymore?)

Now the thing I am dealing with here is this stupid lame ass thing dance mabooob before you ask someone out on a date. Can't things be simple? Like if you like someone, can't a cheap-motel-6-sign flash above their head saying "I LIKE YOU TOO, LET ME IN YOUR PANTS!!!"...no this is real life, and in real life you have to dance around like you are a monkey asking for a banana from the zoo-keeper who you have a love-hate-relationship with. Yes, I could just say, "Hey! Want to go out with me?" but that ALWAYS, ALWAYS opens a shit can full of ringworms. I would become the easy/crazy girl OR EVEN WORSE THE REJECTED GIRL.

I guess what I'm trying to say is 1) Men need to MAN UP. 2) Assholery with relationships needs to stop. 3)I hate rejection(or in this case the high possibility of rejection and/or hints towards rejection).
